Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
(13) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
(14) For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

If many passages of scripture are truly cannon or inspired by God; then it’s safe to say that translation is important. However; not all theologians agree upon interpretations. I believe God in his infinite wisdom knew that there would be heretics who translated the bible and then built theological systems to make doctrines based upon their own reason and logic. Today there are many biblical and heretical theological systems. I will state plainly there are in house debates which can still conclude both sides of an issue orthodox. But there are those which also are not; in other words one side is orthodox while the other side is heretical. I understand that many today believe they can live any way they want to once they’ve acknowledged Christ as Savior; but this is a farce scripturally and doctrinally. One must be obedient to new law of liberty in Christ Jesus. Even the Ecclesiastes attest’s to the validity of living with the fear of God which has never been rescinded; we should all have a healthy fear of God which maintains our relationship to God and with God.

Our New Testament faith demands obedience to God’s moral and spiritual laws. God is holy; we should be holy also. God is perfect; we should strive for perfection. God is wise in all his ways; we should study to show ourselves approved unto God; and in doing so we should be approved of one another as Christian brethren. We have been infused with the Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is empowering and enabling. Therefore if we continue in sin once we’ve been saved from sin and empower to have victory over sin; we shall stand without excuse before a Holy and Righteous God who will judge everyone.

Any system of theology which teaches that we can never lose our salvation once we’ve been saved is not a gospel I would adhere too. God has not changed; yes the covenant changed but obedience is not works it’s a response to the enabling power of God abiding in and through us. I can choose to walk away from the covenant and God gave me that choice. If I have no freewill then I am not made in the image of God who has freewill. Logic and reason have nothing to do with the faith which I ascribe to in determining the mind, will, or purpose of God. God stands outside mankind and therefore is not bound by man’s logic or reason concerning salvation and apostasy. Those who have contaminated the gospel used scientific psychology inundated with human wisdom, reason, and logic to develop systematic theology which is misleading. I know God and the Gospel by the Spirit; yes he uses intellect; but through renewing the mind and purging it from false concepts. Yes there are secular concepts which are utilized in life for the mind and body. But I am first and foremost a spirit, I have a mind and I live in a body.

If I continue to serve God in Spirit and Truth I will one day leave this earth either by rapture or by the grave. To live here is to live for and through Christ and then to die would be gain; yet if I decide to walk away from God whether I receive another religion or just decide to serve myself or sin; I would then stand in judge as an evil doer.

Brethren; we have a responsibility to truth. When I read the scriptures they teach me the word of God, the heart of God, the mind of God, and the will of God for my life. Contrary to many today it is a book of do’s and don’ts! It in fact tells us what is acceptable and unacceptable; it tells us how to love one another and to strive to be like Christ in all we say and do. If not then why do I need to read, or pray, or do anything it says if it’s not relevant to my relationship or life here on earth. Brethren the word of God is true; that’s my story and I am sticking to it. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Emissary)
