Come and Dine

1 Come and Dine on Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:02 am

“Jesus has the table spread where the saints of God are fed, he invites his chosen people come and dine”. It is one my favorite songs of my early years of salvation. Brethren, what a privilege it is to be able to pick up our bibles and feast on the heavenly manna at our convenience. However, when we neglect this divine diet we become famished spiritually and destitute of strong faith to sustain us through the difficulties of life.

Brethren I beseech you by the mercies of God to come and dine today. Have a heaping helping of God’s Holy Word. Jesus declared that the words he spoke are spirit and life. Do you understand the significance of a daily diet of this spiritual manna which supplies substance for the soul? What holds true for the natural also holds truth for the spiritual; we are what we eat. What do you feed your soul? Jesus said: “I am that bread of life”. (John 6:48)

O that the children of men would realize their need for our life-giver! O that the children of me would long for truth! O that the children of men would see the state of their soul’s eternity without the Christ! O that they would heed the heavenly call to repentance and see this wondrous light. Saints of God let us cry out in anguish for the souls of men! Saints of God let us invoke God for revival in this wanton land. Let us with the light within us with love and joys proclaim the salvation that’s in our Savior in such a dark domain. Yet we must ourselves come to dine at the Master’s table to fill our souls with manna from above! Then humbly bow before him in prayer for the strength of his great love.

Jesus has a table spread
Where the saints of God are fed,
He invites His chosen people, “Come and dine”;
With His manna He doth feed
And supplies our every need:

Oh, ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time!

Come and dine, the Master calleth, “Come and dine”;
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time;
He who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now, “Come and dine.”

Many are living on the brink of eternity! Brethren let us be filled with the Spirit and get excited! Let us dine on the word for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word. It’s time to stand up for Jesus and witness in these last of the last days. Jesus is Coming Soon, Get ready and ready someone else through the proclamation of the reality of the hope that resides in you. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Emissary)
