1 Signs of the Times on Tue Oct 10, 2017 10:59 am

Words can wound and words can be an elixir of wellness. We live in a generation of mutual hatred and disregard. The bible speaks of such a generation and we see this truth displayed before us today. Everyone is right in their own sight and do not see their own prejudice and hatred. Let us examine four poignant verses concerning the present generation.

“There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. (Proverbs 30:11)

We are witnessing a graceless generation and the insatiability of their prodigality their lust for life and hatred for even the economy of the nucleus and authority of their parents. The first commandment given with a promise is to honor your mother and father that you may live a long life. Disrespect is the manifestation of the rebellious and undutiful. Graceless children have no moral compass and live a life that curses their father and does not truly bless their mother.

“There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. (Proverbs 30:12)

We are witnessing a generation that is self-righteous and hypocritical who condemn others for things which they do themselves. It is a generation that truly views itself pure in their own eyes. It is a generation which slander with words, it is a generation that corrects and puts demands upon others but are blind to their own sins!

“There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. (Proverbs 30:13)

We are witnessing a generation of prideful people who glory in their shame. Their pride is obstinate and defiant and full of hatred for righteousness. These hateful people consider themselves above others; they think themselves to be enlightened and exalt themselves above the God of Creation and worship the creature instead of the Creator. They are vial and despicable; they are proud and hateful; yet they are truly wretched, blind, and naked spiritually.

“There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. (Proverbs 30:14)

We are witnessing a ravenous generation that uses propaganda to oppress and conquer. They are predators of the poor preying upon them without conscious and often without impunity. They speak in podiums with lofty words of war, they speak with words that pierce with fear and stab the hearts of the meek; they speak with deception and beguile the gullible and bleed the poor to ruin. O that God would pour out his Spirit to a lost generation.

O that the Body of Christ would awaken unto righteousness and cry out to God for revival. For we live in a generation of graceless and ungrateful youth, self-righteousness and hypocrites, the prideful and defiant, and the subterfuge artist and oppressors of mankind. There is a time and a season for all things! This is a season to repent for complacency, apathy, and indifference.

We cannot afford to be cold, carnal, and calloused in these last of the last days. It’s time to hear the message of repentance and the message that convicts and converts the hardest of hearts. We cannot change what we will not confront! We cannot change what we will not acknowledge! We can change the hearts of some once we begin to cry out to Jesus for an anointing that lifts the burden and breaks the yoke of sin! But we must seek his kingdom and long to be infused with his righteousness! Jesus is coming soon! It’s time to get right, get ready, and get radical! Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Emissary)
