Are you a sinner saved by grace; or are you a new creation?

We are New Creations but still battle the old man! Many today excuse their willful sinning by saying; I’m just a sinner saved by grace. The bible teaches “if any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away; behold all things have become new”. Both Peter and Paul taught this spiritual truth; Peter even went as far as saying we possess his divine nature or in essence his spiritual nature of holiness. We are sojourners, strangers, and pilgrims in a foreign place because we were born from above. Hence we are new creations and not the former sinner.

(13) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
(14) As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
(15) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
(16) Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
(17) And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
(18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
(19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:13-19 KJV

Our new nature is not fashioned according to the former lust in our ignorance of what we once were; but now we are new creations redeemed by the precious incorruptible blood of Jesus. It is plain from scripture we are no longer sinners in the sight of God but brand new creations which are created in the image and likeness of Messiah.

(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
(19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
(20) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
(21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV

We are new creations with a new perspective with a new purpose. We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ to become ministers of reconciliation while we sojourn in this place which is foreign to our spirit. A new creation has new desires based upon the conditions of the new covenant. Selah Y’all

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
