1 Trials of Faith by Ray Ritchie on Sat Apr 29, 2017 3:39 pm

Do you ever feel like you’re in a tunnel that turned into a funnel and you are spiraling downward fighting with all your energy only to be sucked into a vast void of darkness wondering how in the world did you get here? It sounds horrible; but many of us have felt this very taxing emotional realty that life sometimes brings our way.

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! (Luke 17:1 KJV)

When people are broken hearted; when people are feeling the guiltiness of their sin, when people begin to look for refuge; when people feel no one can identify with them; there is a yearning inside of them to find a place of sanctuary, they’re looking for a place that will accept them as they are; they’re looking for a pardon not punishment. The reality of life is that offences will come and there will be many afflictions we have to contend with on life’s journey in the Kingdom of God.

Everywhere they strengthened the disciples by encouraging them to hold fast to the faith, and warned them saying, "It is through many afflictions that we must make our way into the Kingdom of God." (Acts 14:22 WNT)

We must remember also when we’re in this state of mentality; this is when the wolves of spiritual deception are the most likely to sense our despair and zeroes in on us preying on our want of deliverance. Brethren I want you to realize that our Lord and Savior has not forgotten us and that even those things which are horrible in our lives will ultimately work out to our good.

(1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
(2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
(4) And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
(5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:1-5 KJV

The devil constantly targets us when we feel the most vulnerable and tries to lead us into a place of despair, despondency, and depression. Please give attention to the above passage because it speaks volumes concerning this life we have in Christ. Peace is the premise of our power to overcome. Faith gives us access into greater grace and establishes a reason to rejoice in the hope which in the glory of God. When we learn to glorify God through tribulation it results in patience. The kind of patience; in which experience develops in us fortitude and a proof of God’s peace and power in our lives, the end result being a maturity of Christian character. Hence; we are endowed with a hope that is never disappointed to the point of despair of fear; because the love of God is disperse throughout our spirit and soul by the Holy Spirit.

Brethren let me stir up the hope within you; the hope of heaven and the reality peace within. Jesus encouraged us to be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. We have the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost to enable us to respond to the travesties, the personal tragedies, and the trials and tribulations of life with faith, peace, and love. There is a goal that God is pointing us to; and those things which are meant by the enemy to destroy you and the very things God uses to empower you.

Brethren keep the faith today by employing the power of the inner man and let me bring to your remembrance an exhortation to establish this truth in your life.

(16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
(17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
(18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
(19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
(20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:16-20 KJV

Brethren this last passage is also my prayer for you today; I also pray that above all things you may prosper and be in good health, but most importantly that you prosper spiritually. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie
