1 LIFE WORTH FINDING By Ray Ritchie! on Wed Apr 26, 2017 11:36 am

I was a prodigal son! Now I have become a prodigy because of him who dwells in me.

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2nd Peter 1:2-4

Our God has imputed righteousness within the believer through the indwelling Spirit. His divine power infuses us through obtaining knowledge of Him. This empowerment causes an intrinsic effect in our lives as we share in his divine nature. Hence; we become more and more like the Christ who dwells in us through the Holy Spirit.

Spirit life is initiated when we repent of our sins and ask Christ to be our Lord and Savior; we are saved at that very second. Effectively we have entered in at the strait gate which leads us to the narrow path of a spiritual sojourn which increases our spirituality as we continue to apply the principles, precepts, and protocol of the knowledge of our faith.
In the gospel of Jesus Messiah are all things which pertain to life and godliness; pertain meaning to guide to a destination by relationship. We have privileges and promises associated with our fellowship and communion with God through his word, through our prayer, and through our application of knowledge.

We now possess within our lives the oil and flame of biblical knowledge; our response is to keep our lamps trimmed and burning brightly because we have escaped the corruption of the flesh which was due to the lure of lust in the world. God has favored us with unmerited salvation. This comes through an intimate relationship in daily communion eating our daily bread and drinking our daily cup. A transformation of spirituality results in our being in a state of continual communion with our Heavenly Father. One day when we are called up a metamorphosis will occur; this corruptible body shall be transformed in the moment of the twinkling of an eye and become an incorruptible body; Hallelujah!

Everyone before their rebirth were considered to be prodigals or wasteful of the life given them. It doesn’t matter how successful they were, or how humanly virtuous they were, or many good and noble works they accomplished; all were soul sinners in need of a Savior. When we give our lives to Jesus; we are born from above. There is nothing except repentance and acknowledgement of our sins which affords us a place in heaven. Oh, but; when we repent and submit to God we embark upon a journey which brings us life in abundance; spiritual life which changes our status as prodigal sinners into prodigy saints. When we embrace the words of life they will yield a life worth finding.

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit,
and they are life. John 6:63

Brethren the flesh or the ministry of the law was insufficient to profit them eternal life.

(3) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
(4) And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
(5) Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
(6) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 2 Corinthians 3:3-6

The new life which lies within the empowerment of the Spirit is in contrast to old covenant which did not change the heart and demanded a continual sacrifice. Our sufficiency is of God through the empowerment of the Spirit; the Word is Christ in our hearts enabling us to procure things which were unobtainable. God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises which are predicated upon our relationship to him in obedience to function by the unction of the Spirit of the Living God. When we walk in obedience we will systematically become more spiritual, more knowledgeable, more inclined to the Spirit’s leading, and more discerning of the spiritual forces that oppose us.
God’s; desire for his children to strive for spiritual maturity; then he will add what is needed in our lives and build upon the potential which is already innate within us. Just as the Apostle John concerned about Gaius’ health wrote him by the unction of the Spirit which is God’s heart revealed to his children:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3rd John 1:2

Brethren keep the faith by adding to your faith those things which God has said:

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2nd Peter 1:5-11

May God increase you in all things! May his blessings be abundant and your joy be full of glory; I love you with the love of Christ! Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie
