There is an epidemic of blindness today. Many are blind in all aspects of life.

(3) A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.
(4) Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
(5) Open rebuke is better than secret love.
(6) Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Proverbs 27:3-6 KJV

We are all blind in part, and sighted in part; we are hypocritical in part and honest in part; it is the gauntlet of reality. We’ve all stated contradictions and collaborations; we are all the sum of the intelligence, actions, politics, and religions we hold. We are walking talking paradoxes; enigmas of normality and irregularity.

Can any of us without hypocrisy point to the real or perceived hypocrisy of others without first judging ourselves. We have all judged harshly when grace should have been the action and we have all approved by the same token. Real and analyzed history is a much better decipher of truth, motive, and action than the present perceived subjugation of our own mindset based upon our particular partialities and preferences, and even nuances of truth.

How many times during the course of breath have we pointed the finger of blame; used words to defame; made a false claim; did a thing to maim; tell me how innocent are those motives with false surfaces and facades which we made in the name of ulterior design. Who; of us can truly say we’ve arrived at perfection while pointing to the defects of another. Confession and Repentance is the starting gate to the road of honest self-assessment. I might add;

We forgive our children when in the course of their growth they make mistakes & missteps which cause mishaps and confusion; but are unwilling to forgive those who in the same journey of growth do the same. Prejudice is to pre-judge based upon a preconception or presumption. Experience is good in one aspect; but it not always conclusive; why? Because one cannot afford to skew everyone or everything based upon the finite wisdom of the human condition which is by and in large deplete of the wisdom of God.

There is one very important commandment (yes I said COMMANDMENT) which is to love your neighbor (everyone in the world) as yourself and then Jesus added an important ingredient “love them as I have loved you”. This is why the blind yell louder that the sighted do; because they follow the blind, but as Christians; we follow him who gave us the physical, the mental, and the spiritual sight to be likened unto his image.

I will declare; history is a great teacher; but only when its lessons are absorbed and integrated into our consciousness, into our corporate collective of knowledge and then analyzed for prevention of the same mistakes, willful arrogance, and blind induced tragedies of the past. If one takes off the blindfold of prejudice, presumption, and pretension and willfully don the reading glasses of justice, righteousness, and equity without bias, or fear or favor of man; then one may arrive at a judgment which is pure, honest, and just before God.

The wise are quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath; herein lays much wisdom if one desires to be calm, cool, and collective while defending a position and especially the gospel. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
