1 PRIORITY - By Ray Ritchie! on Mon Jan 23, 2017 9:43 am

We must look at priority from an eternal perspective!

Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

There is a clear line of demarcation between the children of darkness and the children of light. We are called to the mission of peace; but the weapons of our warfare are spiritual not carnal or physical. When we practice the premise of peace it is pleasing to the Father. But when we are stirring up things because they do not set well with us; this is not pleasing to the Father.

(13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
(14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
(15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
(16) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
(17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
(18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:13-18 KJV

I know the text is pointing us to conditions within the body of Christ; but it also applies to conditions outside of the body of Christ as well. Heavenly wisdom is pure, it’s a peaceable wisdom which is gentle and easy to approach; it is filled with mercy, does not show partiality, and is without hypocrisy.

Peace is a preservative; skillfully used as a dynamic of wisdom it has the ability to preserve our lives, the power to preserve our prosperity, and the processes to preserve our happiness. Peace is the preemptive in preparing us for the offenses which will surely come, and give us the fortitude to reconcile; because the peace of God is not irreconcilable when offenses come.

Let us therefore give priority to this eternal value, this fruit of righteousness; let us follow peace with all men and reap the benefits of heaven and earth. We are messengers of light; that message reproves those, whom walk in darkness.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30 KJV)

To win a soul requires the infinite wisdom of divine knowledge and by displaying the fruit of the Spirit. We are called trees of life because of God’s righteousness; our lives represent true life, in every faction it should communicate true life, and our actions should nourish true life. Brethren the world is watching; what fruit are we displaying? Unless the fruit on the fruit on the tree continues to consistently ripen righteousness the method and the message will not matter to the lost of this world.

(9) (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
(10) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
(11) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5:9-11 KJV

Embracing the light of truth is embracing the Lord himself; it divides us from the darkness and sets our feet on the course of liberty. When we enter into his presence as a lifestyle; peace will be the result of our relationship. From life flows life and that life will be eternal. Therefore I will humbly bow before the throne of grace to receive mercy and grace. I will be an agent for peace and ensue it; I will stand for righteousness and declare it.

The sum of my point is the fact that we live in a world which is not void of conflict on every side; but we as children of God must learn to use the peace of God as the premise of all we encounter. This world is filled with injustice, hatred, trials, persecutions, and all manner of sin and darkness. God has called us into his marvelous light to shine that light to those whom are lost in ravishes of this sinful world. Our priority from my understanding is to walk in love and to be a witness and be able to give everyone an answer for the hope which is in us. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Bond Servant)
