FORGIVENESS

So many times forgiveness is a stranger even in the House of God. Many want and even demand it; but are frugal with dispensing it. Anger is often the manifestation of un-forgiveness. But; the root of that outward manifestation is by and large an inward resentment with has not been effectively dealt with through the power of an individual to forgive.

Let us not confuse truth being declared to address a grievance with outright angry burst of wrathful discourse. Truth is always a part of healing a heart grieved to the point of un-forgiveness. But wrathful disputations are designed to inflict more emotional pain are product of the flesh.

First there is no one perfect among humanity.
Second there is no sin too great to forgive another.
Third there is the power to forgive through Christ our Lord.

Jesus came to heal or mend the brokenhearted; often hearts are broken through un-forgiveness. Christ came to forgive sins which are acknowledged by the sinner. In truth we are all slaves to sin and were in need of emancipation. We were all guilty of cruelty in one form or another; whether it was prudish pride or primal brutality. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. All are guilty and condemned without hope and alienated from the grace of God; until our revelation of that guiltiness and the consequence of it. We cried out in our despair, we repented in the revelation, and we turned from sin to God and confessed with our mouths what our hearts now believed. Christ died that we may live.

Luke 4:18-19 KJV
(18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Christ preached that the great atonement for sin has been offered
Christ preached that the guilty may be forgiven
Christ preached that the slave may be emancipated
Christ preached that the lost inheritance may be regained

If in fact we declare we are Christian; let us not only declare the message; let us also live the message. Forgive and you shall be forgiven; forgive not and you shall not be forgiven.

Mark 11:24-26 KJV
(24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
(25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
(26) But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Brethren we have an all merciful God who will bless us and keep us and mature us; let us strive to be like him in all things whether they be word or deed. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
